See All ReviewsEast Side Shawarma is honestly one of my favorite places to eat. The food is always amazing, fresh, and full of flavor while still being affordable. I have been eating here for the past three years, almost every weekend, and I never get bored of it. No matter how many times I eat here, the taste still makes my mouth water every single time. The portions are very generous — one serving is often enough for two people, which makes it even better value for money. The service is fast, friendly, and consistent. One thing that really stands out is how kind and welcoming the staff member is. He remembers people and even keeps regular customers’ orders in his mind, which shows genuine care and great customer service. If you want delicious shawarma, good prices, and great service, East Side Shawarma is definitely a place worth visiting.
This was my go-to spot in Kitchener for a decade. I was in town today and decided to check it out. The owner is still the same, and the great taste and service are just as good. The crazy thing is, the prices are still the same! The shawarma plate is the best I’ve ever had. It’s amazing how consistent they’ve been all these years.
If you're looking for a solid meal in Kitchener, East Side Shawarma & Kabab is easily one of the best spots in town. If you’re a shawarma lover, you honestly have to check this place out. What really stands out is the incredible balance of quality and quantity for the price. They’re located in a prime spot near Fairview station, so it was a bit of a shock to realize they aren’t on any delivery apps—no Uber, Skip, or DoorDash at all. But honestly? It doesn’t even matter. Every time I walk in, the place is packed with people, which just goes to show how much of a local following they’ve built through word of mouth alone. My personal favorite is the Shawarma Roll Combo. For about $16 (including tax), you get a massive shawarma roll, a side of fries, and a pop. It is incredibly budget-friendly, and to be honest, it’s a struggle to finish the whole thing in one sitting because the portions are so generous. Pro Tip: Since you can't order them through an app, the move is to call ahead for a pickup. It’s the best way to skip the line since the shop is almost always busy with the lunch and dinner crowd. I absolutely love this spot and highly recommend it to anyone in the area!
